IMPORTANT NOTICE: TELEPHONE system changes

Swine Flu update April/May 2009
Information is constantly being updated on the HPA website at www.hpa.org.uk
If you suspect that you may be at risk of swine flu please do
not come to the surgery, instead either telephone us on the usual
surgery number,
telling the receptionist your concerns.
Alternatively call the swine flu information line on 0800 1 513 513.
SWINE FLU FOR CHILDREN:
We are now able to offer children aged from 6 months to 5 years of age,
protection against swine flu. Their birthday must fall after 1st January
2005 and they must be at least 6 months of age at the time of vaccination.Healthy
children need a single (half the adult) dose of a vaccine called Pandemrix.
More infomation can be found at www.nhs.co.uk. After receiving notification
that your child is eligible for the vaccination please contact reception
to arrange an appointment.
Please tell us at the time of appointment if you think your child is or may
be allergic to eggs.

4 GP’s and a team of Nurses receptionists and dispensers.
The surgery has a fully qualified GP registrar and also Post Graduate
doctors allocated to us .You are welcome to see any one of these GPs
by appointment.

Monday- Friday 8-12am 2-6pm
Closed Thurs afternoon
Pitstone
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9-12am, 2-6pm
Wednesday
8-12am Closed pm.
Friday 9-12am, 2-5pm
Surgery hours.
All Doctors have pre bookable appointments. In general our doctors
prefer to look after their own group of patients so
that they can provide continuity of care.
Nurses and Phlebotomists also have a range of pre bookable
appointments.
Please phone early if you feel you need an emergency appointments or
a home visit.
Home visits take up more time than a surgery appointment
and GP’s
will normally only visit the housebound.
If you need to be seen urgently (the same day) you will usually be
offered an appointment with one of our experienced Nurse
Practitioners.
Disabled Access
Most consulting rooms are downstairs. If you are booking a blood test please
let us know if stairs are a problem for you.
