Dr Verwey moves back to South Africa
Dr Verwey has now left our Practice to return to South Africa. We would like to send her every good wish for her future. She would want us to pass on her thanks to all her patients for their thoughts and farewell messages. We have appointed a successor due to start with us soon.

Acute Clinic
Registered patients of the surgery who have an urgent medical need are able to phone for an appointment that morning.

This appointment will usually be with one of our specially trained Nurse Practitioners.

If you feel you need to be seen the same day you MUST phone before 11am, preferably earlier. It makes the management of our workload, and our ability to offer you an appointment, much easier if you can phone early.

Please appreciate that only urgent problems can be dealt with at this appointment, you may be asked to make a routine appointment to discuss any other problem.

Commuter Clinic
We now offer extended opening hours for patients who would like a GP consultation outside of normal surgery opening hours. These appointments are pre-planned and are for non-urgent consultations and it is not an emergency service.

Please contact reception if you need an extended hours appointment.

Travel Health

With the sun shining-thoughts turn to holidays. If you are travelling this Summer please make an appointment for travel health consultation with the nurse at least 6 weeks before you travel. If you are planning a back packing or gap year trip then as much notice as possible is advisable as some vaccines require a course that takes 6 months to complete!

For more information you could look at www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk for information on recommended vaccines and malaria prevention for individual countries.
