 The surgeries are able to dispense to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest pharmacy. This includes approximately half of the patients registered at Edlesborough and most registered at Pitstone If you need a regular prescription 28 days supply will be issued. Exceptions are the contraceptive pill and HRT (3 monthly). Your Doctor will not usually need to see you each time. Information on the tear off portion of the green prescription (known as the right hand side) or on your medicine labels will keep you informed as to when you need any routine tests or examinations. It is important that you attend for these checks to ensure your medicine is being tolerated and is still appropriate. The repeat dispensing system began in June 2006, this means that once you have had a repeat prescription set up from us, you will not need to reorder monthly. Instead it will be prepared for you every 28 days unless you tell us otherwise or your doctor feels that this is inappropriate. |
