Parent/Carer Guidance regarding obtaining FLU vaccinations for School-Aged Children – update 15-Dec-2025

In response to the news stories of a nationwide rise in flu cases the Buckinghamshire School Aged Immunisation Team (SAI) have been receiving a significant number of telephone calls from parents/carers regarding flu vaccinations.

These enquiries include parents who have previously declined the offer or parents of children who may not have been at school on the day the SAI team visited and whose children remain unvaccinated.

Parents/Carers seeking a flu vaccination for a school-aged child, please contact Buckinghamshire SAI, who will be providing additional immunisation clinics.

They can be contacted via telephone on 01494 323000 or email: buc-tr.BucksChildImms@nhs.net this information is included in the webpage referenced here https://www.buckshealthcare.nhs.uk/cyp/school-nursing/vaccinations/

The surgery does not have supplies of the Flu vaccine hence, all enquiries should be directed to Buckinghamshire SAI as directed here
