Coronavirus Travel Information
Travel Vaccines & Immunisations
IMPORTANT: If it is less than 8 weeks (excluding Bank Holidays) until you travel please contact a private travel clinic rather than completing our questionnaire.
Due to high demand on our service the surgery reserve limited availability for travel consultations.
It is important to start this process as early as possible – at least 2 months (8 weeks) before you travel – some travel vaccines/immunization schedules can take 6 months to complete. Leaving it late may involve additional doses and cost you more!
Some vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine and some are only available on a private prescription. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS and the full cost must be borne by the traveler.
- We are not able to offer Yellow Fever or BCG at the surgery at present.
Some vaccinations and all antimalarials are not covered by the NHS and a charge is payable for these. A charge of £15 for a private prescription to take away will be made. This charge is waived for prescriptions dispensed in our dispensary.
There is comprehensive information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below, please check to see if you require vaccinations for your trip.
Non-urgent advice: Notice
Please note that all travel vaccination appointments will be at our Edlesborough Surgery.
Please go to our Travel Vaccinations page to complete the travel questionnaire.
We are having problems with receiving travel questionnaires – if you haven’t heard from us in 5 working days then please call reception.
