In line with many other practices locally and nationally the team at the surgery has taken the decision to cease offering ear irrigation(syringing) at the practice.
There are a number of reasons for this decision: This is a service that the practice is not commissioned to provide- we have done so for many years but feel the time has come to cease this unfunded work in order to concentrate on providing a better service in other areas.
Please see the attached leaflet which explains how to self manage this condition – other alternatives are referral for micro suctioning (either under the NHS or privately).
